  • Range Bag
  • Brimmed Hat
  • Close-toed Shoes
  • Extra Magazines - 2
  • Magazine Pouch - 1

How much ammunition should I bring to my class

Some classes have a required round count. These are a suggested minimum. You might want to bring more in case we need to go over. In Handgun 101, we will provide the ammunition. In Handgun 102, you should bring 100 rounds. In all NRA Classes we recommend bringing 100 rounds for your firearm.

What are the Holster requirements for Defensive Handgun or NRA Defensive Pistol?

Although there are many different holster designs, the various safety and control considerations in this course require the pistols be presented only from strong-side concealment-style hip (belt) holsters or holster purses. We also allow AIWB holsters IF that is what you usually carry. We do not Teach that in these classes.

Holsters designed exclusively for competition or not permitted. Holsters with and without safety straps are permitted; however, holsters without safety straps must be capable of holding a pistol securely during any movements made by the student. All holsters used in the course must be designed so as to prevent the trigger finger from entering the gun’s trigger guard when the gun is holstered.

Hollister purses should provide some mechanism for gun retention.

What Holsters are required for NRA CCW Class

The NRA Requires that all students in the NRA CCW Class use a strong side hip holster for this class. This is a requirement put forth by the NRA, and we will enforce this. The requirements in the Defensive Handgun and the NRA Defensive Pistol requirements still apply.

Do you offer a Military, First Responder, or Veteran discount

Unfortunately, we no longer offer this discount. While we have the utmost respect for those communities, we offer our classes at a low enough rate, that it is no longer required.
